My name is Ryan and I am 28 years old. I am originally from San Bernadino, CA but moved to Spokane, WA about 10 years ago. Since moving up here I have zero desire to move back to California. With work, I have had the chance to travel to almost every state in the United States and 20+ different countries. It’s safe to say what you experience in the Pacific Northwest is unlike anywhere else. It’s now what I love to call home.
I’ve started this blog for my Com 210 class but hope that it may give me the confidence to keep it up. I would not mind starting a sports blog to have discussions with the millions that roam the internet.
My hobbies vary with the seasons as most do. I will find any excuse to get outside during the summer. Whether it be fishing, camping, or boating; you can generally find me on a lake somewhere. During the winters I attempt to get out snowboarding as often as possible. Regardless of the season I am always playing some type of sport between football, softball, and basketball.
About a year ago, I was talking with a friend about what we wanted to do with our lives. I had told her that I did not want to continue my current career for the rest of my life. With that she asked what it was I preferred to do. Instantly I told her I wanted to do something sports related and, if I had a choice, I would love to be an athletics director. She asked why I don’t pursue that and, of course, I gave her every reason under the sun why I couldn’t. She then, so eloquently, replied “never know if you don’t try”. So I packed everything up, moved to Pullman, and started my Sports Management degree at Washington State University. I can at least say I will never regret not trying thanks to some palpable advice. Go Cougs!
